Olga Belobrova’s journey to founding TraveLot is as rich and inspiring as the wines of the Lot Valley itself.
After a transformative year in the United States as an exchange student and four years in Turkey completing her master’s degree, Olga arrived in France in 2010. It was in Cahors that she found her heart’s home—a city whose charm, authenticity, and deep connection to the Malbec grape immediately captivated her. She embraced the region fully, eventually gaining French citizenship and welcoming her daughter in 2018, a moment that rooted her even more deeply in the life and culture of the Lot Valley.
While learning a new language, Olga pursued international commerce studies in Paris. To validate her diploma, she returned to Cahors for an internship at a local winery — an experience that marked the beginning of her career in the world of French wine.
Over the next twelve years, primarily within export departments, Olga traveled extensively across Europe, exploring vineyards, meeting winemakers, and immersing herself in the stories, traditions, and people behind the wines. She also earned the WSET Level 3 Certificate, reflecting her expertise in wine education.
These travels sparked an idea — born from her own challenges in organizing vineyard visits and her desire to share the authentic, lesser‑known beauty of the Lot Valley with others. TraveLot became her answer: a way to offer visitors not just a tour, but a curated, meaningful, and unforgettable experience of rural France. Every TraveLot journey reflects Olga’s passion, expertise, and profound love for the region she proudly calls home.
